LF VU meter/s
« on: November 28, 2017, 11:20:40 AM »
I am looking for vintage/vintage-looking VU meters -  preferably black. I have no idea about budget, but have seen ones from Europe online for about 10 euro, obvs a lot more by the time they've landed here. But I'm not too fussed about price (within reason)

Something vaguely like this, but will consider anything really:

I bought some for here recently for a project:
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/530513?spm=2114.10010108.0.0.540908606CoTCm

They don't have the yellow back light, and are cheap, but very well made. I bought 5 just in case one was out, but they all tested the same.

Oh, and I used AramexGlobalShopper to ship via Hong Kong, and they got here in about two weeks

Thanks Kola - there are so many! Which was the exact one you got?

I've always liked the look of the Yamamoto meters.

Don-Audio from Germany also has a good range.
(I've bought some nice bakelite knobs from them before.)

^^ Those are very nice... but sold out.

I like the retro-look.

El Sid, if they become available again, perhaps we can import in one go.
