:sd: My long awaited and endlessly tedious R2R11 purchase finally fell through. I'm inclined to blame the government because that's always easiest.
I am still incredibly inclined to get one, but I feel a bit exhausted by the ordeal so I'm going to give it to myself as a birthday present in August and that will be that.
However, I'm still presented with the issue of a new desktop DAC. My Nuprime UDSD has been an absolute beauty since getting it, but I bought it be used with my laptop for work.
As such, I'm wondering what my fellow Digiphiles think of the Aune X1S at its Massdrop price... The specs are NFB11-esque with the same DAC but it's not nearly close in the amplification department (80mw vs 300mw into 300ohm). I would not consider it at it's normal pricing but $180 is half of the Audio Gd (shipping notwithstanding).
Still, it's R2600, so I'm happy to hear the alternatives.
