Achim ... I’m sure audiophiles are experts at massaging sweet spots ... luckily I’m anti audiophile these days

the digital is clean and good, analogue sounds muffled
his final mix is like the digital with some analogue hiss

Amazing how we all hear different  things and yet we describe it with similar terms ..
I conclude that we don’t understand this audiophile terms and we all assume when we use the terms it means the same thing to different people...

The guitar player himself experienced and explained what he heard ... but yet some hear different and better things then the man himself

Hells bells no man....simple pair of sennheisser here and the digital erm.......destroys the noisy analogue.I will assume those who chose analogue are having us on....don't be conned by the slight bloom to the lower registers....its an anomaly and not a blessing:) :coffee:

So how does my hifi become profitable and productive ? And why does it need to be ?
Does modern tech owners charge a fee to come listen to their hifi or ?
Eish guys like Rodney can make money mos Jong ... lol

So are you saying that obsolete does not mean worse for us in terms of the music playback quality , but rather to support the vendors operational processes and nothing more ? Mxm..

But seriously speaking playback snakeoil does not interest me anymore these days.
Most systems can play music quite enjoyably.
I actually didn’t know I was listening to recording playbacks when watching the vid .. I was thinking he’s still gonna get to “replay the recordings” ,, so I was listening to both equally with the intention to listen to what he was playing and wether or not I liked or disliked it or parts of it ... the music I mean ... so I honestly heard nothing special or bad in either.

and truth be told neither will make a difference in my life , I can live with both and do so anyway already...
I never listen to the hiss and cracks etc .. only the music ..
one has to grow up and apply this natural filter and learn to listen to the music only , that way your “anality” disappear and your horizons open to endless music and enjoyment.
Agreed! We should listen to the music... yea, get something half decent... much like the ford VS toyato bakkie thing. Use what brings a smile to your face and let the rest be dammed!

Not a good analogy, because Hiluxes are clearly better....
