Hello all, so I picked up a vinatge Dominion patternmakers lathe, a real beauty , but being a little pedantic about my machines I want to restore the old girl, final step will be an auto paint from 2k, BUT before any of that I need to remove the old paint, fill in holes from the casting process, she is cast iron and put a couple coats of primer and sand before spraying, so Rodney... if you are reading this, what sort of primer should I use considering O am thinking aito paint finish, what is etch primer? Please guys any advice will be helpfull, I dont want to use any rustoleum products as they chip off very easily, I want a finish that will not chip or scratch easily, 2k should do that, but I am not sure about primer, aslo need paint on promer not spray on primer? advice please? thanks
