Consonance Tristan Integrated Amp
« on: November 02, 2017, 09:52:32 AM »
Real Beauty.  Brushed aluminium finish.  Very strong 100 watts.  puts my Yamaha Z7 to shame and the Z7 is rated at 140 strong watts.  With all metal remote.  MMM/MC phonostage.  R12500.  Photos don't do it justice.

I'm in the market for power amp.  ideally a 3 channel to power my main speakers and center channel, but will consider a 2 channel amp.  Minimum 150 watts, preferably 200 watts.  even something like a Rotel RMB 1066 might do, especially since it has the 12v trigger.

So swap with cash difference either way depending on items?

- Relay switched input source selector
- Digitally controlled active preamp stage
- Cool Class A technology applied in an amplifier stage
- High quality MM/MC phono stage employed

This solid-state amplifier also applies COOL Class A technology inherited from the Calaf.

Combined with the advantage of class AB and the class A technology, the Cool Class A technology actually achieved the same linear sound performance but without the normal need of a big electrical current, as Class A does.

The heart of the phono stage is a super-quiet analog device microphone preamp based on op-amps. After the adjustable linear gain stage, the signal passes through a passive low-pass RIAA filter and the low-frequency cutoff switch, followed by active RIAA equalization. The low-impedance unbalanced signal can then be output directly.

I recently bought the Consonance calaf integrated amp. Wow! We sometimes get stuck with the big commercial names and need to explore a bit more to find jewels like this.

You can buy this brand name with confidence.

That Calaf looks like a beast.

Thanks.  This is definitely not a run-of-the-mill  amp.  I have only ever seen a Consonance CDP on sale in ZA, so these are rare and don't come up for sale too often
