The DT Screens acoustically transparent projection screen is assembled and installed.
Here you can see Lionel taking great care to ensure that the screen is centred on the front projection wall.

The screen is a woven white fabric screen from the Frontier range of DT Screens. (Personally I have never seen a projection screen so white before in my life)

Lionel takes a step back to check and verify his measurements and location of the projection screen.

It has all the ingredients for a stunning home cinema:
2 x Furman Elite 16i Power conditioners (with built in 55Amp peak power capacitor)
Oppo BluRay Player
Trinnov Altitude 32 - 16 Channel 3D surround sound processor
2 x Amplitude 8 (8 Channel Power amplifiers)
1 x Wisdom Audio SA2 (2 Channel subwoofer amplifier)

I have not heard of Trinnov before but a quick google revealed some really nice kit

If you are ever in Cape Town, I would be happy to arrange a demonstration for you.
Hoping to work with some clients in Johannesburg next year where I can implement some Trinnov equipment too!

Let me know if you have any questions about them :)

Its starting to look a lot like a home cinema!
This is the first photo of the cinema with the sofas unpacked and in their correct locations. The projection screen installed and all electronics connected.

This is a great view of the home cinema with the back riser visible and the sofas in their correct locations.

A good idea would perhaps be to invite the Cape Town Hi-Fi Club to a Trinov music and movies demo. I would definitely attend.

Are those couches day-bed type seating? I can't quite make out the dimensions from the photo angles.
Without a solid back rest they are going to be very uncomfortable for extended watching sessions.

I would be happy to. Will look at what dates are available in the new year and set something up for everyone.
For me, it will be great to introduce everyone to the Trinnov products as they are really fascinating to work with, as well as being incredible quality!

In the words of the supplier and the client, the seats are the Rolls Royce of sofas.
I would have to agree with them. They are easily the most comfortable seats I have ever sat on. Quite enjoyable to sit on them for long times. I think he made a great choice in the chairs that he bought.

The timber chevrons are installed onto the side walls of the home cinema, a classy touch against the high quality fabrics on the walls:

Once the chevrons were installed LED strip lights are installed behind them. This is a quick light detail photo I snapped just after they were connected & tested.
