I bought a smartphone which features a Mediatek MT6755 (Helio P10) chipset, I was hoping someone would know what DAC it might have. Wolfson? Burr-Brown? Yamaha? Or maybe Mediatek itself.
It sounds simply amazing coupled with a former iPhone's set of Earpods. (Playing Mumford & Sons)
With a little bit of research on the web I could only find some info from a datasheet, supports 24bit 192Khz audio with a SNR of 110db and THD of -95db. Apparently Mediatek announced back in April 2014 they will be using Wolfson DACs, but it does not specifically mention the MT6755. Only the older chipsets like MT6595 and MT6752.
The smartphone manufacturer also isn't very transparent with their products specifications. In fact, they don't even mention it can play FLAC files in the user manual. Also, none of the info apps on Google Store like AIDA64 and CPU-Z gives any details.
