Foolishly I sold my HD600's.
Now need to get some headphones again.
My question is related to Rand for Rand value and quality.
Looking at the following: (based purely on what I have seen advertised at various times)
Audio Technica
Beyerdynamic
Sennheiser
AKG
For new ou the box I am looking at no more than R3K and used R2K
I know I wont get my 600's, but listening is casual, mostly in my office. What I did enjoy was the total ease and clarity they delivered, never suffering ear or neck fatigue.
Also over ear. Don't mind open or closed back as it is a private office, so noise cancelling is also not an issue.
