Roland E-500 PSu
« on: August 22, 2017, 08:31:01 AM »
Good day Gents.

i have a Roland e-500 keyboard that i have to try and fix for someone.

i have nailed it down to the psu, more specifically the ic that does the switching.
that part is obsolete.

is there by some miracle a place that i can try for a psu that someone can point me to?

my next option is to build one from scratch as i was able to figure out all the voltages.(but would prefer not to)
someone told me that i can make ice cubes with left over wine.
i am confused, what is left over wine?

Come on Heinrich, deep down you know you want to build it :whistler:

Never seen one. What are the voltages? +/-15V & 5V?

What size? There might be a MeanWell PSU you can shoe-horn in there.

hey ludo, it has +12, -12, 2 independant 5v outputs and 17V output that powers a amplifier.
i dont think i will find a single power supply to do all that.

but i have since found someone that got some of those switchmode ic's , so maybe here is hope.

Not that I can help, but what is the part number?

it is a TDA4605 driving a BUZ90 FET.

communica lists it, but i phoned and they don't have stock.

the person whom said he could help told me that roland issued a replacement part that is pin comparable.
he is willing to sell me one but dont want to give me the part number.hehe
