Painter's tape (different brands available)
« on: August 19, 2017, 04:26:35 PM »
I've used Painter's tape (blue coloured/Sellotape brand) recently but it doesn't stick well and allowed for some "bleeding" on the edges even in thin applications of paint.  Painted a speaker baffle so it was taped over wood fineer.  It was bought recently, but I also noticed it tore quite easily when being applied leaving a diagonal edge on the roll .  Could it have been old or are there other brands to try.  How does this differ from the beige coloured "masking tape".

The Sellotape one is poor quality. Get the 3m one....

I am not sure where in JHB. I usually get from automotive paint suppliers...
