I have this exact same machine which I bought probably just over 10 years ago for around R350 brand new on a special - I think normal price was around R500 at the time. Now if I bought many of these at the time, I would have made an excellent investment me thinks. Prices on these have climbed steadily and I'm convinced that it even beats the property market as an investment - seriously.

Furthermore, this is one Ryobi tool that I can wholeheartedly recommend.

Anyway, I have used mine for countless odd jobs, including spindle sanding, aluminium burglar bars, etc, etc. I think every man should have one of these. So, if you don't have one of these yet, you know what to do.  :2thumbs:

Exact same thought that came to mind when I saw this, well almost except for the investment part.  My Dad grabbed it when they moved, yes I was still living with my parent when I bought it, and doesn't want to give it back :sulky:.  Can't blame him thought cause these are really good.

That would have been a good investment too, unfortunately Tafelberg only got the one in and were not going to get them in again. Glad you're still enjoying the SHP895 (as much as your Ryobi).

Jurgins, sorry to hear that. I think your dad may have done that to make sure that you go visit him from time to time. Time to get a new one right here maybe?
