What is your favourite cart and stylus to play newly-acquired, second-hand, not-so-great-condition vinyl to see if they play through, and despite the visible scratches, are worth keeping? :nfi:
I currently use a Stanton 500, and it seems to be pretty sturdy and coping with the task. Just wondering if there is anything better, for this purpose. I do clean the vinyl first, but would not risk them straight off under a much better, relatively expensive cartridge. :groovy:
