I am so lucky that I was able to get a copy of this CD today.

I first became aware of this album when Neelan Parshotam (Chief Audio Engineer, BRS) introduced Bop Recordings Studios Studio Two to my in the form of a master tape from the tape vault.

The album is SIBONGILE KHUMALO's ANCIENT EVENINGS.

It has been recorded at Bop Recording Studios in 1996. As most of you know this studio was/is fitted with the very best in audio production equipment. This allows projects recorded there to shine. This is no different with above mentioned album. This album is a real challenge to a decent audio system with fast percussion lines and a wide band-width.

Try to get a copy and indulge in a bit of local "audiophile" music.

My personal favorite track is "U Ea Kae" that starts with haunting vocals and a rich percussion backdrop. It then flows into a powerful chant with a steady beat.

The CD code is > CDCOL 8001 P < Sony Music
