Morning Ladies and Gents, we have been using a Billion router with 3G from MTN for some years but the up/download speeds were more than useless so we changed to Telkom LTE. The router feeds into a switch and all PCs and server are connected via LAN (cables). All worked well except for the speeds. The server just runs our accounting software.
So now, enter the B315. By the way, we switch off the server and router at night and switch on in the mornings. Some mornings a PC will lock on to the network, sometimes not. Strangely though, the PC in question will access the accounting software on the server but cannot see the server (when looking on the Network under file explorer) nor can that PC print to the LAN printer which is on the switch. We can all access mails and internet.
Huawei do not support this device and we all know what Telkom support is like. Playing around we saw the router has three IP address settings viz auto, dynamic and static. Only auto allows the system to get the PCs (some of them) on line.
Strangely PC one might be on line today, but not tomorrow....
