long weekend build

what a busy weekend i had

Got these from Gideon, November last year, and just put the box under one of the tables.  :popcorn:

so did some cad drawings of the different layouts.

T-Rex, building mono's

bottom plate layout, 2mm Alu, laser cut and bending to be done

after laser cutting and bending

then i did some 5.1mm and 10mm Alu 5083 , Waterjet cutting, for the top,sides and front plate
will upload more once photobucket works again

then i had some heatsinks already mounted to side rails,



but i want a clean look on the monos.
so i'm going to use the the 10mm alu .
so next we drill and tap M4

drilling and tapping
10mm alu 5083, so will be drilling 8-9mm deep for M4 cap screws



first plate mark then center punch, second plate drilled 3.2mm for M4 tap

next we start to fill the holes in the bottom plates, these will hold, transformers and PSU and VAS boards mounted. the amp board will be on a second raised layer
sorry for the finger prints on the alu



next we bolt on the sides.

Looks awesome! It looks like you mounted the transistors quite high on the heatsink?

Where will you be getting the anodizing done?

Will be using cape anodizing.
Changed the clour on the monos to natural.
Stereo kidnap will be black

I'm going to use then tomorrow... how do you finish before having anodising done?

I just clean them with a general cleaner, I use the Green brand,

they also clean the parts before they start.

use this one daily, running a pair of Coral BX-300 -in my garage- radio and
