This thing has worked flawlessly but this afternoon I decided to move it's location, reset and update to start a clean slate. It updated and worked perfectly during the upgrade, until the next reboot ....
All of a sudden it wouldn't boot into Windows ; with this type file missing and that media error etc. I tried my best to revive it, but it seemed hopeless. At my wits end, I took out the SSD and put in one of the docking stations in another PC. There I formatted and wiped clean (so the drive is working at least) - hoping that a full, fresh start may be easier. I still can't.
The Gen8 is far more server like than the previous generations (and any PC I've worked with). There's terms like array, RAID, setup, iLo and various other configuration things to get going. So, if anyone is near North Riding and can get my Windows 10 going again, I'll bring a bottle of whiskey while we wait!
