Today I installed the new trannies that LAV sent me. Got the amp going and all seemed fine when suddenly the fuses popped. Again the output transistors are cooked.
Now I dont know anymore. Seems old faithful is tired.
At the moment it seems more easy and less expensive to get this old Steinhart TVP 50E amplifier going than anything else. I'm in the process of buying the Steinhart from a friend and all it needs is new tubes.
