any excel boffins here?
i am busy doing a spreadsheet calculating a budget for a large project.
it is a very large spreadsheet, multiple pages, complex formulas, using multiple circular formulas, with iterations.
iterations are currently set to 100 iterations, with a maximum change of 0.00001.
i have tried to set all formulas to round off to 2 places.
every time i recalculate i get a different result. small differences, but i need a final definitive sheet to set up the budget. also, i am not 100% sure everything is correct if it keeps on changes, & i'm sure no one else will be..
any ideas?
- more iterations
- larger iterations
- rounding?
if i set it to precision as displayed, it is does not recalculate, but i then have concerns about accuracy - a few decimal points on a a couple of hundred million could get nasty.
solved... just needed a rounding in a couple of places...
