LF: Vintage B&O
« on: May 19, 2017, 02:23:48 PM »
I am helping a friend of mine who's looking for a vintage B&O set - a Beomaster receiver and a set of Beovox speakers. There are no particular models preferred. Would prefer good condition - say 7-8/10 , and obviously functioning well.

He's not a member, but it would all be through me. Mods please remove if this ad is not appropriate. I can vouch for him as a solid citizen anyway.

Please let me know!

PS: based in Jhb

Awesome! Thanks Ken

I suppose electrical functioning is more important because wood can always be sanded and plastic polished... (now that I think about it a bit more)

This Beomaster 1900 should be available shortly provided that the re-capping goes according to plan.

it powers up & puts out some sound.
there is a bit of a hum.
i don't know if it is as simple as a mismatch of equipment, or if it is something serious. i seem to recall the old b&o's had some issues about the inputs.
you are welcome to testdrive it a while if interested, & return or buy as the case may be.
