DSTV Explora 2a & Explora 1 - XtraView and trouble connect second TV

Had Explora 1 and HDPVR, could tune secondary TV's in to watch either Decoder, using RF Out and a Splitter.  Have recently "upgraded" to an Expora 2A (Promary) and Expora 1 (Secondary), changed LNB as per instruction and have heart beat between Decoders - working well.  Can only tap of from one or the other RF Outs, can't do both, seem to bradcast on same frequency?  Seems to be a step backwards unless I'm doing something wrong?
