new HT build
« on: May 01, 2017, 02:46:04 PM »
so im eventually getting my own HT room. Carpet is in and all the goodies are in my hands. So now just for the room treatment. I have made the acoustic panels for the side walls, left and right. going to do 2 bass traps in the front corners. My problem is i have old built in units on the back wall that will stay there. Thinking of covering them in something and still look good. My question, will polystyrene wall tiles do a bit of absorbing and stop the reflectiveness of the bic doors? the roof is going to be a starlight ceiling so nothing being done there either except for a strip that will go over head for the atmos speakers.

Awesome Morne, so how did you get rid of the back reflections? I would use a decent curtain to hide them, if it is still a problem.

Very nice.

What is the purpose of the Jamo's at ceiling level? Are those for Atmos?

Yes running 5.1.2 setup and they work nicely, not as good as in ceiling but not bad either.
