Hi, I picked up a Thorens TD-124 last year and I have reached the stage where I want to start collecting parts for it to restore it and get it going again. So far I have managed to get a new idler wheel for it and an old one from ebay. I also want to get some new 'mushroom' rubbers for it and some new rubbers for the motor suspension.
The problem I am having with the table is that it will not start by itself... If I switch to 33.3 it will take a coupla seconds for the lights to come on and then nothing... If i help the platter spin with my hand then it starts to spin and will hold onto its speed without wavering...
Any ideas?
This is the circuit diagram to the motor...
OR
Could the motor need a rebuild as per this example:

Any input would be appreciated!
