I am the new owner of these wonderful vintage speakers - thanks Gerrit! Problem is, with nine drivers per cabinet, my existing amplifier armoury (Quad 303, Sugden p51's) is not up to the job. They sound great on these amps but only on low volumes. According to my googlings, good old North American muscle is the answer: McIntosh (as if) and the value for money contender - Adcom GFA555. These speakers need at least 150wpc according to what I have read. And vintage watts seem to sound better. Phase Linear has been mentioned. Thoughts and wisdom appreciated :whistler:
