No.  Hasn't happened to me for a long time but in the last few weeks some customers have had some expensive oops moments. 

Some simple rules for me that have helped well:

Table covers/lids are down if left unattended. 


Stylus guards are fitted in the morning when needed, not on the night after a few Nikka but always before any cleaning may happen. 

And lastly.  Extreme care gets taken when dusting down a table.  Stylus guard in place.  If no stylus  guard is available, I raise the arm lift and move the stylus near the spindle.  Like  queueing for playing the last track on an LP. 

Never dust below an exposed stylus.
