I recently bought a beat up pair of HD380s for a bargain at a Cash Converters. I've fixed them up and the last thing remaining is the torn pads. The original Sennheiser pads are $40 ~ R550 locally (which is more than double what I paid for the 380s!). From a quick google, I saw that there are many cheap aftermarket pads for < 10$. So what I ended up doing is buying 2 different pads from eBay (Velour and Pleather).
Now my question is, does anyone here have some experience with "pad rolling"? Maybe some of the higher end pads like Brainwavz, Mr Speakers or ZMF? Specific headphone and pad combo recommendations?
