Hi Mervin.  It's just a super short USB connection. This one has a twistŷUseful for things like the Regen USB cleaner for e.g.

USB micro version still to be  born. 

Actually I think it's partly an illusion.  There are two cables inside that start side by side and are twisted 90 deg.  That may be it.
