Weird email from RS electronics

Hallo,
I have ordered spares from RS and received a very weird email from them. It was in connection with an opto coupler.
"Thank you for your order.

We would like to inform you that the article(s) you have purchased will be supplied and exported from Japan.
With Japan?s ?Catch All? Export Control Regulations, RS Components would like to assess and understand specific purposes for which the goods (below) are to be used for (including where the goods are being incorporated, if applicable) before it can be supplied. Single word or two word replies such as ?hobbyist?, ?student education?, ?testing?, ?maintenance?, ?repair?, ?research & development? will not be accepted."
Anybody experienced this before ? They actually want to know what I want to do with the component !!
