A new kind of Schiit?
« on: February 24, 2017, 04:55:28 PM »

Thought this may have been a new line of Moffat designed items but it appears not.

Mike Moffat from Schiit produced a few high end av processors under Angstrom brand in the 90s.

Turns out this one is Italian.

It looks    except for the jack, which spoils it

I think so too.   It looks out of place.

Yes it looks like they forgot about the jack and made a plan.

It is a Neutrik locking jack. Red tab must be lifted to remove jack.

I think I would prefer a non-locking socket - in case you walk off, forgetting the cans are on your head.

Yea, that we know, but it completely ruins the otherwise gorgeous look

It's perhaps the best socket out there but it looks k@k on there.

It's making a point. This will look K@k until you plug in those headphones.  I like it, when in use you can admire its looks and function.  When not in use it says 'Use me, I'm not for show you rich person you, don't like that? Sell me and get a lifestyle item.'

"Dual Monaural Tube Reference Headphone Amp" with a single ended 6.3m jack-out....

The folk at Angstrom seem to also be confused , as the left the technical specs blank for the Stella head.amp
