Schiit Jotunheim
« on: February 23, 2017, 03:56:50 PM »
So, I ordered my Schiit Jotunheim today via Scot. After some investigation, listening to Amps/DACS, looking at reviews the most value for money seems to be the Jotty with the USB DAC.

Only heard the amp section of the Jot (Windoze USB driver installation proved a bit of a pain) and was handsomely impressed.  We'll be expecting a write-up of your insights shortly  :groovy:

Definitely include the DAC, for the incremental cost it's definitely worthwhile.

For the price it's good value, but it's not going to beat a serious external DAC.  The Yggy adds quite a lot to the mix iro detail and finesse/ smoother presentation.

Oh no, don't say that  :D, the Yggy costs a fortune though. I'd like to compare it one day - may be at the next meeting.

@Cuco Mind giving us a breakdown of the cost (shipping and import etc.)? Looking into going balanced.
