Never listened to the specific model ... but as far as my experience with ZYX goes ... they never disappoints...
I.e. that little yarta I had was comparing to the DV XX2 MK2 !!! ,,, different sound but I find the ZYX carts very musical and more compatible to different setups and music then for example the ortofon and DV's ....
obviously speaking only about my experience and gear...
I have not heard a ZYX yet that is not enjoyable .... I think they are very underrated ... read some reviews most of them are true and value for money most probably one of the better brands out there ...
how much is that one going for if I may ask ? I would have kept mine if I didn't need the cash ...

Just ordered a new one (yet to arrive) @ R13k locally. Replaces a Benz Micro ACE SM that went kabang on me.

Watching this with interest. Hoping no one bursts your bubble as you have already ordered.
I would like to know how you came to settle on the Bloom though? Well at least vs going up the Benz chain. Plus I think Audionut had a demo Benz for a good price

Agree Vuz.
Would be interesting to see what the impressions are...
IR.. you need to let us know...
I would personally say the ZYX is more towards the bigger Denon type sound then the detailed analytical DV type sound ... so preferences again, but I find the compromises are generally that ZYX although not that detailed plays more of your source reasonably well where things like DV becomes very unforgiving...
Never really liked the Benz ones I heard.. but also just preference..

I like the idea of a handcrafted cartridge with an advanced stylus profile. Going to use it on a 12" IsoKinetik Silver Melody tonearm. Just waiting for Ghostinthemachine to finish the table build, then I'll be good to go!

Aaah nice I used the yarta on my Jelco 12" LBA ( Feickert version) also had isokinetic counterweight etc...
I reccomend you to use adjust plus for setup... cause it will get your SRA and azimuth nicely set etc...
I used the home version... but PRO gives you more ..

I have the Adjust+ record, so will see how that works for me. I believe that setup is critical with these advance stylus profiles.
