Terminating Wireworld Oasis 7
« on: February 03, 2017, 10:01:18 PM »
I found a single 2m Wireworld Oasis 7 interconnect today, I want to make it into a pair of 1m. But inside it has four ribbon cables. 2 black, a white and a blue. Which colour is what? Any ideas?

Mahleu, you actually got my attention with this make. I can get a RCA cable from a place that's  in there sale bin. I think it is 3 or 4 meter RCA to RCA cable for sub use but it's missing one RCA on one side. Think i need to go pop in there and take it if it's still there.

What do you mean which colour is what? If you're re-terminating just attach any colour to anything. It won't make any difference, basic concept of that cable appears to be a twisted pair, just worse...

Please PM me for anything you need imported. See here.

Just copy what you found inside the existing plugs surely.

I haven't opened the existing ones yet but I will.

Looks like Blue and White are positive, I can't see if both Blacks are earth as it's been neatly heatshrinked (heatshrunk?). I'll find my meter and check before soldering.

Just pay and took it. Know just to find one of this Rca's now

Nice, you can buy the proper RCAs but they're expensive and you can probably get something just as functional much cheaper locally.

Thanks. Jip, they are expensive. Did a bit of shopping and they go for $10 and then still need to import them. Will ask on the Forum if someone maybe got one that they willing to sell or check for a nice proper RCA.
