Mantech has good selection, decent quality, not expensive, in stock.

yes, those look interesting, where they from?

I'd ideally like to get some made of copper & plated, the "brass" sometimes looks rather suspect in cheap terminals.

You going to laugh at this one Sean. Bought them from a small hardware shop on Gansbaai, and they feel decent and heavy. Tested them with a magnet and nope, they don't stick to the magnet. The banana plugs is decent to.

I would not recommend using those with exposed metal as amplifier output posts. Too risky when it comes to the possibility of short-circuits.

I'm sure if you bought a batch of these

and/or these (for speakers)

from ApexJr you could sell the extras and recoup your expenses easily. (I did this some years ago. While they did not sell like hotcakes back then, the local DIY community has become much more active since).

Agreed on the exposed ones, probably not a good plan... he has no info on what they are made of.

I had previously bought binding posts from Yebo, which were copper when I drilled through. When I bought again they were what looked like brass... but I don't think it was brass, looked like some cheap & nasty other material, and the gold plating... well it looked strangely un-gold. So I want to but something I know is decent, info there is a bit low to go through the effort of an import.

Steve @ Apexjr is a nice guy. I'm sure he would answer any questions you might have. Also, I think you might be able to pay via Paypal if he has no credit card facilities (too long ago for me to remember, and I can't find email records).

When I was search for binding posts a while back I found the section
http://za.rs-online.com/web/c/test-measurement/test-connectors/binding-posts/
Home > Test & Measurement > Test Connectors > Binding Posts
had a much broader selection than the loudspeaker connectors section.

Otherwise Hificollective.co.uk OEM selection is very well priced.

Mantech is still a cost effective and convenient solution though

Thanks, that indeed does cover what is needed, how did I miss these!!

agreed, hificollective does have very tempting ones, just the shipping perhaps will be high. I have bought some from Mantech which look ok for now but I may change,
