Is Tidal support ever going to be improved?

I'm using the 14 day trial and I find not being able to start an Artist / Track radio infuriating. By Radio I mean playing other Tidal songs that are similar, not looking at my favourites on Tidal for options.

No preferred distro, they're releasing their own distro soon, with Roon Core included for an appliance like experience.  I think it's targeted to specific NUC's though - best check on the forum .  I'd go with Arch Linux because it's pretty lean and its robust. All the Schiit DACs use asynch USB.

I've got Roon Server installed on Ubuntu 16.04 at the moment. It bypasses PulseAudio and uses ALSA directly, which is great. Sounds really good. Wish there was a Linux Roon Remote though for use on the same machine.

Dunno, I'm not a tidal user, have never tried Roon Radio via Tidal.  Have you added Tidal albums to your library?  If you've not done that I doubt Roon's going to trawl Tidal's database online - I doubt Tidal even cater for that except through their own app.  Ask on the Roon forum.

Loaded and listening.

Definitely much quicker changing and loading tracks.
Really impressed with the sound quality. There is a definite improvement. More pep and treble sparkle. Roon is slowly catching up on Audirvana  :sh1tstirrer:

Colour me impressed with version 1.3.
Good job Roon.

What in the blue blazes ...
I can now actually edit the metadata on the fly and it actually changes it.

I'm liking version 1.3 more and more!

Nope, this sends out everything up to DSD 256. DAC is not an issue.

I'm playing a 24/352 track at the moment.

Dang love this software.
Last night I saw these little icons with numbers in next to certain songs.
Took me a while to realise it is the amount of versions for that specific song in your own library and Tidal.

Been looking for a bit perfect method of streaming TIDAL in my Linux development environment. Roon ticks all the boxes, bypasses Pulseaudio, sounds fantastic. But I can't get over needing to keep a phone / tablet around to control it, and the deal-breaker, not being able to start artist / track radio. Perhaps a limitation of the TIDAL API which Roon Labs can't do anything about, but can't justify the price just to listen to tracks in my library over and over again, or listen to TIDAL's curated playlists which seem to be 95% R&B.
