Thanks, Chris - I'll be there!  :groovy:
I love music - analog and digital. Even listening to the Blues makes me happy. During the day I coach and counsel, after hours I indulge in my second passion - listening to vinyl and restoring turntables. Some I keep, some I sell...

Hi

Does this entail second hand album sales and/or new goods by retailers and/or private sellers?

Regards

Most of the sellers are dealers in second-hand LP records, CDs, DVDs, books about music and musicians.  The fee for a large table (2m x 1m) is R60 and you must be a member of the CT Hi-Fi Club which is R130 for the year

So its not really a venue for the occasional seller.  If you have a lot of stuff, it might be worthwhile.  Generally, about 300 people come through the door and we sell boerewors rolls, beers, cokes, tea and coffee

CHANGE OF VENUE

The hall at Wynberg School is NOT available due to a school event

Instead, we have been invited to the Cape Town Cricket Club which is in Victoria Road in Plumstead (AKA Plumstead Cricket Club)

This venue offers

Parking inside the grounds for 25+ cars
A large room with an adequate number of tables
    Toilets in the premises
A full bar (beers are R16,00)
The club will again be selling boerewors rolls for R25,00, with onion rings and your choice of relish
    There is a swimming pool

The place is very easy to find.  If you are unable to find the place, you can call Chris Clarke at 0742392087 or Chris Reddy  at 0827711923

Doors will open at 8.30 and you can start trading from 9.00.  It is a private club so please be considerate of club members, who will be starting a cricket match at 12.00

We look forward to seeing you on the day.  Entrance is free for everyone, dealers and sellers should join the club for a once off annual fee of R130,00, plus R60,00 for a table (we need to pay the CCC for the use of their space)

One of our members, Karel Mars will be bringing some of his valve creations to display

Brought to you by the Cape Town Hi-Fi Club.  Get on the email distribution list - email capetownhificlub@gmail.com

The Hi-Fi Club is not having a Vinyl Faire in March.  We endeavour to have 5 a year, so most likely it will be Sunday 30th April.  Keep an eye out for notices

We are also having a problem with our long-standing venue, a hall at a school in Wynberg.  They are preparing a concert to take place in June (Grease) and despite the fact that they do not have any rehersals on a Sunday, will not confirm the dates for us.  We had a long-standing reserved date for this Sunday, but until today, they are undecided whether we can use it.  Under those circumstances we looked for an alternative venue and think we have found the right place.  It might be better, it might be not as good, time will tell
