I wasn't knocking the nCores, I'm sure they're fantastic.
Just have a soft spot for those big champagne coloured monsters.

They are rather sexy looking , and I'm sure they sound good too . No offence taken , just passionate , it's the Greek blood in me .   :dop:

You oaks don't think that this is an upgrade to the Marantz PM-17 mkii KI Signature?

I don't know Marantz's line up but I have the PM-17 mkii and am looking for the KI Signature but this PM-10 looks like it has most of the same feautres as the PM-17 mkii KI Signature, am I right?

Hey Nishal - I've got to pop into Victoria electronics again sometime soon . :)

These two have completely different topologies , sure the PM10 has waaaaay more power , but then the PM-17 mkII KI Signature is something special in it's own right . I suppose it also depends on what speakers you wish to drive . For high efficiency and easy load speakers the PM17 mkII would probably suffice . For more difficult loads ( radical changes in impedance and/or phase through the frequency bandwidth ) , the PM10 would be better .

Agreed the PM-17 MkII is something special.
One of the few amps I regret selling.

(I'm sure the KI is a little bit better - by how much I don't know.)

The PM-10 will probably retail for 140k or so.
In that price range there are many very, very good options to consider.
Audio Research, VA Black Widows, Accuphase, Devialet, Chord, Classe, Perreaux, to name but a few.

Will sound fantastic , just not mad about the look. But that is personal preference.
