he still won't let me get closer to him than about 2m.

 Hmmm... I wonder if this does not have something to do with that...

Lovely ocelot markings. What you might have meant was: I am trying to convince this cat that I am to be treated more as a friend and less as the guy who runs the soup-kitchen and the flop-house!

Obviously doing a great job on its physical state - that cat looks sleek!
Upon the plains bleach the bones of countless millions, who on the dawn of victory paused to rest, and there resting died.

Please remember you can do this five times, and the IT guys amongst you will know how to do so many more times

He is becoming more 'domestic'.
He seems to spend his whole day in the roof now, never going far. He still will not let me touch him, but if I bend down to talk to him, he will stand up on his back feet and touch his nose on mine!
He has decided that the kitchen is quite OK to sit in now... as long as he isn't too far from the door, to escape, if required.

Watch these buggers!

my PA has a very similar-looking tom named Gus. He went missing, they put up posters, children were told about death being a natural process, etc. More tears.......
Went to put up a poster at the vet and receptionist said, I'm sure he's here, the people down the road brought him in, he got hit by a car. But they say he's their cat

long and short, they agreed to split the bill. He is now called Guts and is happy to be a travelling man!

I've got a nice tip for tick removal and this thread is probably the best place to post. May also save you some time googling for it cause I'm struggling to find the link once more.

Long story short, with all the rain we've had lately our dogs seem to pick up some ticks despite the Frontline we use.
Now this method that works great and it removes the whole tick with minimum effort, no sprays or tweezers. You get your dog in position and with your finger start rotating the tick in one way, clockwise or anti-clockwise.
It takes less than a minute, but for some reason the tick releases completely and you can destroy it or save for later in case your dog gets sick and you want to take the offender with to the vet for analysis.

At this time of the year, many people are away on holiday yet the demand for food for stray pets is under great strain.

Please do not forget your daily five clicks on the Barking Mad site.

You should be able to click up to five times every couple of hours, please do so.

He has totally become one of 'the gang' now.  And sleeps in a furry 'basket' in my bedroom at night.
