I recently installed Cozy Magnifier & Microscope on my Note 4 - quite handy at seeing dirt on your stylus . Here are some shots of a Shure M44MB with aftermarket stylus from lantis.co.za , an ADC 660XE with aftermarket stylus from Ebay ( I think ? This one could still be the original ) and an Empire 1000 Z/EX with stylus from thevoiceofmusic.com .

Shure M44MB with new aftermarket stylus : - sounds very good for what it is ,
ADC 660XE with aftermarket stylus - One of my favourite vintage cartridges sounds amazing and has a rather sturdy cantilever , so , can take a beating without breaking .
Empire 1000 Z/EX with very good aftermarket stylus - My absolute favourite vintage cartridge , best I've ever heard . Tracks at 1g and under . Extremely delicate cantilever - you have to be very careful with this one . If you ever come across one , buy it immediately , or tell me and I'll buy it . Medium to high compliance cart .

After It was quite a stubborn bit of dirt that took many wipes with the stylus brush to remove - extremely gently of course .
