Maybe the unique tranquility that only the West Coast brings, or just the fresh Sea Breeze, but I really enjoyed this Merlot from Kleine Zaltze.

Soft and easy drinking

This is from Hartenberg's "budget" range.  Nice Cab Franc in the finish

This was a fascinating wine that I was surprised to really enjoy.

How about that for a blend....?

Jasper Wickens

These were my notes, if of interest

Very strong ripe dark fruit on the nose, almost bordering on juicy. Strong cherry notes underneath with a hint of vanilla.

More vanilla and and some strawberry on the palate with a nice tannin structure.

Finish is gentle and pleasantly dry, fruity notes linger nicely.
