Got spoiled by Robert from Clearaudio last night in Erlangen

Lekke Braai in the Rain at his home.

Some Argentinian Steak and Great Cab from Sonoma Valley

Needless to say we had more than one bottle

Full body yet lots of fruit and no Tannins.

I initially thought we were drinking Shiraz.

Quite surprise to learn that it was a Cab

Anybody ever heard of Jancis Robison or Dreyfuss Ashby or Richard Kelly? All from England.

For those interested, today is the 30% off wine special at Woolies if you buy online with card.  Despite the slightly higher prices one sometimes finds at Woolies there are some EPIC deals to be had on the higher end of the market.

Tomorrow is the “in shop” deal.

This has been a good month for wine as Black Friday was also kind to me ..... 😁

Currently sampling the 2015 Sutherland Syrah (from the Elgin valley) - by Thelema Wines and can highly recommend it. Vanilla notes and slight hints of pepper and a very smooth finish.

Nice - can’t go wrong with just about any 2015 vintage from SA!

Last night I drank this (pleasant enough Bordeaux style blend from the Constantia Valley)

And saw in the New Year with these bubbles.

Nice enough but nothing to rave about. I got it at a great price, but at normal retail price there are better options.
