Don't know why but thought I'd share.

Been looking for a new cabinet to house my media players, amplifiers and record collection. Looked at the prices online and was shocked. Anything between R5000 / R10000 for something decent.

My parents bought me a little inverter welder for Christmas and to the horror of my dad I have still not used it (never welded anything in my life)

Last week I thought what the hell. Went and bought some rectangle and square tubing.  R900

Spend sat morning practicing my welding. Sat and Sunday I got really stuck in. Thankfully I lent my dads cut off machine (saving grace). Pretty happy with the progress so far. Busy cleaning up now with the grinder.

Using https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catalog/consumer-brands/painters-touch-ultra-cover-2x/satin to spray the metal. Pretty cool product.

Busy looking for decent wood now for the top and the two shelves.

500mm wide 3000mm long 1000mm high.

Pictures look warped due to some issue with my phone. Everything worked out pretty well for my first time.
