St Petersburg is beautiful.  Looking at the immense wealth on display in the palaces and having read a lot about the history, it doesn't surprise me that the revolution(s) occurred.  Pretty much the same feeling when I visited Versailles followed by St Denis.

Beautiful! Well done Louis, looks like a fairy-tale land with all those great buildings and lovely parks.

Very impressive! I was there for a 1 week conference in March (venue adjacent to your last picture of AC Hotels) and I saw a 100 times more of the city in your pics than being there!

I really enjoyed looking at your wonderful pictures, thank you.  The immediate impression is that the place is so civilised, clean and well run.  The old buildings are clean and in a very good state of repair

Spending time in Copenhagen.

https://lani4travel.com/2017/01/07/euro-trip-copenhagen/

Ah, I see you snapped my wife's office building, as well as a few snaps of my hood. Missed a trick though, that Copenhagen Plaza hotel used to be the go to hotel for touring musicians and other folk of elevated status in the 70s & 80s. Inside there's a pillar listing all the famous guests that have stayed there over the years, Queen, David Bowie, Rolling Stones etc. Catch it next time, hope you enjoyed my dorp.
