Our Network manager asked if I could ask around about a product that would do Email content filtering based on predefined rules as well as block Spam in a Corporate environment.
Currently Trendmicro's IMSS(Interscan Messaging Security Suite) is being used, but seems to have some quirks. For instance if mail is quarantined, the user does not get a notification that the mail has been blocked for what ever reason. The software also seem to have very limited reporting capabilities and does not have the ability to allow a non-administrator to release quarantined mail, thus all mail is visible to the person releasing a mail.
Take note that the above observations are as conveyed to me as this is not my area of expertise.
Any suggestions of other products that we can investigate and evaluate if needed, bearing in mind that such a product has to be able to handle +50,000 emails per day and be located in a DMZ, so be secure to external attacks.
