Post visible after submission? Advantage or disadvantage?

On another forum running SMF software, you are shown your post after sending it.  Is this of benefit or not?  I think it enables you to read it and quickly correct any typos.  MyBroadband's forum works like this, but they don't use SMF software

Just to the right of the "Post" button you can do the same by clicking "Preview."

I know that, but preview isn't postview, which is what I was asking

Advantage , As you have a quick view of what your post looks like. i know there is a preview ,but how many times we post anyway and then find errors .
