Oval Power Chord Needed - Wavetek Function Generator
« on: August 08, 2016, 01:12:34 PM »
As per title, I have this Wavetek 130 Function generator that needs this oval power chord.

Thought I would try here before I modify to IEC or similar. Hopefully someone might have one or be able to point me somewhere

That is a Swiss spec power socket with the offset earth.  It is also now a SABS approved plug.  I have seen sockets with this plug for some time, so plugs should not be far away.  Enquire at large electrical wholesalers for a SANS 164-2 plugtop
Even duct tape can’t fix stupid… but it can muffle the sound

Nothing on my side unfortunately......we had a number of wavetek devices that I wanted to use for spare parts (crystals, attenuators, etc)....but it seems that some $&@!head thought it best to scrap them....sorry for building up the hopes AA

Hey no worries deonk and thanks for looking! Will probably just mount a permanent power chord with a cable-gland, no space to add an IEC type in its place.
