I entered our business idea to the Samsung Launching People campaign and was shortlisted out of 5000 entries.
My wife and I did a Dragon's Den style pitch last night to the panel and WON!
It was nerve racking and exiting and I learned a lot.
Prize is R50k in cash and R300k in support and office space in Fourways.
I was very nervous, so I saved my pitch on my phone and had it playing on repeat while driving. Chatting to the other contestants that had already pitch helped a lot as we were the last to go in.
Afterwards I felt brave enough to do 2 TV interviews with SABC and a Nigerian TV station even though I'd never thought I'd have the guts for that. I must add that the Nigerian people were super friendly and made us feel waaaay more at ease than SABC chaps.
Afterwards we were approach by one of the judges with an possible interest to invest. :clap: :clap: :Whoohoo: :Whoohoo:
The product we pitched is a mobile booster seat for children, much safer than a normal booster, but can be carried and installed by children themselves and can be moved between vehicles in seconds.
