LF : 10mm Threaded Inserts
« on: May 31, 2016, 06:45:14 AM »
Hello chaps and chapettes

On the hunt for 8 x 10mm threaded inserts for wood in the East Rand

Been to the usual hardware stores and Gelmar, could only find 6mm inserts or 10mm T/Nuts

My missus has also tried their local fastner supplier and no luck  :nfi:

Thanks Mr Padda

I did grab some TNuts from BW and using them at the moment but would prefer threaded inserts.

I have searched as well but smaller size.
Most companies I have contacted ask R10 each.
All the best in your search.
Polk Audio Tsi500 - Fronts, Tsi200 - Bookshelf, Tsi100 - Front Height,  Cs10 - Centre, Integra DTR 50.5 AV Receiver,Sony BDP-S370 Blu-Ray, LG 3D Blu-Ray, Energy Veritas 10" Sub, Clavel 3 Way speaker

These guys normal have anything thread related:

http://screwman.co.za/

Do you need these?

http://screwman.co.za/products/43/4/eye-bolts-thumb-screws-wing-screws-t-head-bolts-furniture-fastners-clamping-elements/14446-detail

These ones are way more appropriate for wood than the ones I pointed out from JKM.

@ CAD The screw in nuts that I use for the speaker spikes, are called "woodserts" and are obtainable at a place called "Acorn Fasteners" in Centurion, Pretoria area,
They are a lot less expensive than "T" nuts .
