Playing music from Android to Yamaha Amp via Wi-Fi
« on: April 21, 2016, 08:55:17 AM »
Hi. Need some help. I have a Yamaha RXV673 amp with Wi-Fi module connected.  Works great for controlling the amp from zone 2 with my Android Yamaha app.

Does anyone know how to stream music from an Android phone directly to the amp over wifi?  From my Windows 10 pc it's very easy. I have found an app called Play All,  and it recognises the amp,  and actually plays on the phone,  but no idea about what the input should be in the amp. In fact,  I have gone through them all without any luck!  Not keen to buy a BT module as well,  and BT is restricted in range.

Thanks!

PS. Sorry about the spelling in the Title. Can't edit that.

Ah, figured it out!  If anyone else needs this, the Yamaha App is all you need! On the main page it actually has a small music streamin icon on the top right corner. Select it, and it whill show your device name.  Select the menu option top right and it will show all music available on your devices! Ckick and play, magic!
