not sure if this has been discussed before, but ............

wifey wants to change seating arrangement in the lounge and DECLUTTER.  now the proposed seating arrangement is best suited to a single subwoofer.  I know allot has been said about the benefits of two or more subs.  I also enjoy the smooth sounding yet deep bass of my two subs BUT if there is a way or brand that can offer similar or better bass in a single unit, that would be preferred.
has anybody experimented with this?
how much more will I have to spend on a single unit that can compete with the two?
my room is about 6m x 4m.  currently I watch my tv from the 4m distance but the wife wants to do the longways (6m)im already running 7.2 in this lounge and I don't like the speaker showroom look in my home.
this will be primarily for movies as I do not switch on the sub for music.

my current subs are Energy S10.3.
without auditioning, will the Energy S12.3, Polk DSW Pro 600 and Velodyne Impact 12 be worth a consideration.

look forward to your comments
