Markus Wormstorm - Figure in Field
« on: April 08, 2016, 02:00:34 PM »

Electrifying urban combination play with african voices, percussion and classical instruments characterises Markus Wormstorm’s 2. Solo Album. Wormstorm loves slow motion grooves with the attitude of Capetown’s typical Hiphop intensity.

Markus Wormstorm, the one man phenomenon, is back with his new album.

In it Wormstorm experiments with down tempo pulses, Bernard Herrmann style compositions , african click singing, anime ́sampling and Xhosa rapping.
Unlike his previous albums, Wormstorm presents a whole new style called African Electronic , which combines his passion for the cultural effects of South Africa along with his expertise in electronic music and classical composing. Figure In Field consists from a various amount of collaborations, keeping you captivated and fascinated leading into his fantasyworld and – at the same time – into the reality of modern south-africa.

Similar vein to Felix Laband, a little more dancey if anything.  Available on vinyl as well for those local enthusiasts.
