Linn LP12 has new life
« on: March 18, 2016, 03:43:14 PM »
I'd just like to say Thank You to Jacques for servicing my 26 year old Linn LP12, SME arm and V-15 cartridge

The improvement in record reproduction is immense, not just a faint improvement but chalk and cheese.  All of:  More detail, better dynamics and punchier bass.  He did quite a bit of work to it and I am immensely pleased, worth every cent without a doubt

Jacques has a good deal of used and refurbished turntable equipment for sale

Its very rewarding to meet someone who is good at his job
Even duct tape can’t fix stupid… but it can muffle the sound

Only a pleasure.

The shop has officially gone from 'getting there'  :headbanger: to 'operating'    :wallbreak:

Here are some shots from the shop (in reverse chronological order)...

Mid morning system build.

Display rack with demo section behind it.

Front of the shop with another display rack.

Signage in place. This was a 'big thing' and put the pressure on to finish the 'display' side of the shop

Spawn of BK getting some on the job training. BTW BK - your daughter can now hang shelves for you  :whip:

Nice one Jacques ! What is the street adress?

I also wish you all of the best in this venture  .

That seems like a good location . It would be good to get UCT students involved somehow . What's the name of the student magazine ?
